Anatoly Demidov Was the emperor of SaraPitcairn and arts patron of the island.

early life

Born in Saint Petersburg or Moscow, he was the second surviving son of Count Nikolai Nikitich Demidov and Baroness Elisabeta Alexandrovna Stroganova.


He was elected emperor in the SaraPitcairn 1852 royal election in which he was the longest reigning emperor in the island even though he lasted for 18 years in which he died, replacing him with a new elected emperor Frederick.

Personal life

He was an artist , loving to draw many things. It included the island and the people. Like his parents, Demidov was a great admirer of Napoleon I of France And the Kings of the Island in which his last words were “ Napoleon dies with great island!”
