Summary
Another version of the flag for Mexico.
This version of the flag is a variation of the File:Flag of British Mexico-1.svg.
The flag is a British Blue Ensign, with the Union Jack in the canton, defaced with an illustration of a golden eagle with its wings displayed and inverted and in its vigilance eating a green rattlesnake on top of a cactus which is growing on a rock raised above in the middle of Lake Texcoco (barry wavy of at least 5 of alternating navy blue and azure colors in the lower half representing water) inside a white disk on the center of the fly. The proportion of the flag is 1:2.
This version of the flag has the oak and laurel branches removed since it represents a seal more used in democratic countries, but since this is a British Dominion, i changed it up to look more traditional. Of course, the British ensign defaced with the colonial government's seal was used to represent the individual colonies of the British Empire, with most of the time the seal being an illustration representing the colony or its coat of arms inside a white disk.
The illustration refers to an Aztec legend that their ancestors who came from the land of Aztlan discovered an eagle devouring a snake on top of a cactus on an island in the middle of Lake Texcoco, on which the city of Tenochtitlan was named as the capital of the Aztec Empire prior to Spanish colonization. After Mexico gained its independence of Spain, different iterations of this symbol has been featured on the Mexican flag throughout its history. If the British took over Mexico from Spain during the 18th century I think it might be plausible to keep an earlier rendition of this symbol as an emblem of Mexico, as the symbol derives during the Pre-Columbian era and has been used to represent Mexico even after its independence. Mexico City would remain the capital of this colony.
