The Italian Republic (Italian: Repubblica Italiana) was a short-lived (1800–1807) republic located in Northern Italy. and its capital was Milan.

history

The republic was founded by Eugène de Beauharnais Francesco Melzi d'Eril Napoleon Bonaparte Augusto Caffarelli, Achille Fontanelli, Ferdinando Marescalchi, but due to napoleon being a general, he never came part of the government. But when the government was made all there ministers were arguing about how the government should work and other issues some of them had started rebellions and the leader was the same people it was Francesco Melzi d'Eril And Eugène de Beauharnais who Became president more then 3 times but the government was replace with a kingdom.

Government

The government was a Presidential republic until it was a dictatorship attempted by Augusto Caffarelli until he went to exile in 1806. It went back to a Presidential republic until the republic ended.
